Counselling Approaches

Rosa takes an integrative and client-centred approach to therapy, tailoring her work to each individual’s unique needs and goals. She draws from a range of evidence-based modalities to support meaningful and lasting change. Her work incorporates psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences and unconscious patterns influence present thoughts, emotions, and relationships, alongside attachment-based therapy to help clients better understand how their attachment styles shape their relational experiences.

Rosa also integrates the Gottman Method in her work with couples, using structured, research-based tools to improve communication, navigate conflict, and strengthen emotional connection. In addition, she utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients understand and work with different parts of themselves, fostering greater self-awareness and self-compassion. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is used to address unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours, while Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) supports the development of skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. Grounded in Person-Centred Therapy, Rosa creates a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard, valued, and supported.
