Brittin is an Occupational Therapist with several years of experience supporting children, adults, and older adults across a wide range of functional and developmental needs. She has a particular focus on helping adults navigate major life transitions, including returning to work, managing energy and fatigue, recovering from concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI), and adjusting to new physical or mental health diagnoses. How Can Brittin Help?

Brittin supports clients across a broad range of physical, cognitive, developmental, and mental health-related concerns that impact daily functioning and quality of life. With adults, she commonly works with individuals navigating significant life changes such as returning to work, managing energy levels, recovering from concussion or traumatic brain injury (TBI), and adapting to new physical or mental health diagnoses. With children aged 2 to 17, she provides home-based occupational therapy focused on building foundational skills in fine motor development, sensory and emotional regulation, selective eating, and independence with daily activities such as dressing and toileting. Across both populations, Brittin also supports clients experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, ADHD, autism, migraines, and chronic pain, with a focus on improving everyday function and participation.

Counselling Approaches

In her work with adults, Brittin takes a collaborative, values-based approach that focuses on meaningful, functional goals that matter to each client’s daily life. She integrates principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients clarify priorities, overcome barriers, and take practical, achievable steps toward change in a sustainable way.

In her pediatric practice, Brittin draws on several years of experience using creative, play-based, and developmentally appropriate activities to support skill development. She helps children build independence in areas such as fine motor skills, dressing, toileting, and other daily routines, while also supporting emotional and sensory regulation through engaging, structured interventions tailored to each child’s needs.
