In Alberta, many extended health insurance plans include coverage for mental health services such as counselling, therapy, or psychological assessments. Because every plan is different, we encourage you to confirm the details with their insurance provider including which types of professionals are covered, the total amount of annual coverage, and if direct billing is supported.
All Clinicians Qualify — But Check Your Plan
Every clinician on our team is a qualified provider, which means you can use your benefits with any of them. However, coverage can vary significantly between providers and plans. Some insurance plans may only reimburse services delivered by specific designations (e.g., registered psychologists vs. registered social workers). If you're unsure, we're happy to help you navigate your options — but your insurer is the best source for detailed plan information.
We believe mental health care should be both accessible and sustainable. That’s why our rates are set well below the Alberta Psychological Association’s recommended fee of $235 per session. Many of our clinicians are covered by extended health insurance plans, and if your provider allows direct billing, we can bill them on your behalf—so you don’t have to pay upfront or wait for reimbursement. While most insurance plans work on a reimbursement model, we currently offer direct billing through the following clinicians:
