Angela has over 20 years of experience as an occupational therapist. Her understanding of the mind-body connection, along with her compassionate but knowledgeable approach allow her to facilitate resilience and meaningful changes in her client’s lives. She became an occupational therapist as she was drawn to helping people live meaningful lives through a holistic approach. She completed her thesis research on resilience, as she has always been interested how to foster it in the individuals she works with. Her practice has primarily focused on mental health, cognitive rehabilitation, ADHD, chronic pain and reintegration back to work and other life roles after illness.
Angela has completed extensive training in acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and uses it in her treatment to help individuals live meaningful lives, despite challenges. She also has training in prolonged exposure therapy for trauma, CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), motivational interviewing, mindfulness and ADHD assessment and treatment. Additionally, she has PGAP (Progressive Goal Attainment Program) certification.
Angela draws from many modalities and has a tailored approach to help individuals move towards meaningful, productive lives. She feels honoured to be able to help those going through adversity become more resilient with her compassion, understanding and clarity.
