Tina has over ten years experience working with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, poor self-esteem, trauma, anger, grief, codependence, and illness adjustment. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional and has treated PTSD in first responders (Fire, EMT), corrections, and medical personnel. She also has extensive experience helping those struggling to return to work or who have experienced a life altering, work related accident.

She has counselled for the Workers Compensation Board since 2019 and has extensive experience helping those struggling to return to work or who have experienced a life altering, work related accident. She also has experience helping those with crime related injuries.

Tine works with her clients to understand themselves and challenge unhelpful thoughts that lower their self esteem, resilience and confidence.

Eating Disorders

Tina provides counselling for individuals with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and other unhealthy behaviours with food.

Codependency

Tina helps individuals with codependency to understand their own boundaries, set them, and be comfortable with the idea that they may not be able to please everyone all the time.

Domestic Violence

Tina provides a safe space for survivors of domestic violence who have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, as well as stalking, to heal and begin to feel safe.

Tina practices within a client focused, strength-based approach. She tailors treatment using a variety of modalities based on client needs and preferences. She has formal training in Prolonged Exposure (PE), Written Exposure Therapy (WET), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). She also draws from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys nature and can be found walking her dogs down country roads or sitting on her deck admiring the many birds and deer that visit daily. She loves to laugh, listen to music, and garden.
