Alyssa is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and a member of the Psychological Association of Alberta. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and Sociology, and a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology. Alyssa has also completed EMDR training and is registered in EMDR therapy.
Alyssa has over 10 years of experience working with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, stress, worry, and self-esteem. She is incredibly grateful for each and every opportunity that she has to work with her clients in therapy. She recognizes that accessing therapy is an incredibly vulnerable experience.
Alyssa works with individuals living with generalized anxiety, social anxiety, performance anxiety, panic attacks, or phobias.
Alyssa helps individuals who are struggling with sadness, negative thoughts, feelings of hopelessness, suicidal ideation and self harm.
Alyssa supports her clients to process and heal from their loss, while also guiding them in navigating difficult emotions and thoughts.
Alyssa supports people experiencing excessive stress in navigating and identifying strategies to not only prevent it but also heal from it.

Alyssa specializes in adult and childhood trauma (PTSD). She helps her clients navigate and heal from the effects of trauma to help them move forward in their lives.
Alyssa is known for her person-centered therapy approach and is focused on working collaboratively with her clients on utilizing their strengths in achieving personal success and emotional well-being. She has experience in treating individuals with depression, anxiety disorders, work issues, grief and loss as well as issues related to self-esteem and body image.
In her professional practice Alyssa offers counselling services to adolescents & adults employing an integrative therapeutic approach tailored to each individuals needs. Alyssa will draw on various therapeutic techniques including CBT, emotion focused, solution focused, strength based, and Mindfulness practices.

In her personal life Alyssa enjoys spending time with her family, raising her daughter, her cats, & spending time with her husband, spending time in nature and doing hot yoga.
