Book a 15 Minute consultationIf you suspect that you may have attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), it is important to get a professional assessment done. A professional ADHD assessment will help you better understand yourself, gain personal validation and access additional resources that can help improve their quality of life and ability to function.
A mental health assessment can provide you and your loved ones with insights into your emotional, behavioural and cognitive abilities, a better understanding of your emotional challenges, and an evaluation of your strengths and difficulties. A diagnosis enables mental health professionals to propose the appropriate treatment plan.
Intelligence assessments are used to help identify adults or children with exceptional levels of intelligence through a variety of techniques including Intelligence Quotient (IQ) tests. Intelligence testing can be helpful in enriching your life by enabling you identify patterns of strengths and weaknesses relative to intelligence.
When prospective parents are ready to adopt, they are often asked to complete mental health assessments during the adoption process. These are not designed to discriminate against individuals with treatable mental health concern such as anxiety, OCD or depression, rather to protect children against situations that place them in harms way.
A functional assessment enables you to understand your level of functioning and ability to perform specific tasks in a defined period. FCAs identify your strengths and weaknesses, as well as assess areas like memory, attention, thought processing, adaptability, and more. Having this information can help you in your school, job, or other areas of your life.
Cognitive testing checks for problems with cognition. Cognition is a combination of processes in your brain that's involved in almost every aspect of your life. It includes thinking, memory, language, judgment, and the ability to learn new things. Cognitive problems can have many causes including diseases like Alzheimer’s disease or dementia.
