Cassia is a Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, and brings a wide range of experience to the counselling process. Cassia believes that developing a strong therapeutic relationship built on respect, compassion, and trust is important, so she strives to create a non-judgmental, respectful, and collaborative counselling environment where clients can feel safe and supported. Cassia uses evidence-based approaches that are tailored to the needs of each individual client, values feedback, and walks with clients in building the skills necessary to make lasting positive changes and live authentically as their best selves.

Cassia uses her training in Transactional Analysis to help clients better understand themselves and how they relate to those around them, as well as to help clients identify patterns in their relationships and develop strong and healthy connections.

Grief & Loss

Cassia has experience in working with clients who have experienced a loss and are dealing with grief. Whether the grief comes as a result of a death, an injury, or a major life change, Cassia works to provide a safe space for clients to work through their loss and move forward in strength.

Cassia has spent the last 8 years working with individuals struggling with a variety of mental health concerns. Cassia works with adults, couples, and adolescents, and uses an integrative, trauma-informed and person-centered approach to therapy in order to suit the needs of each unique client. Cassia’s approach includes elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and holistic and mindfulness-based approaches to help clients identify what is inhibiting their mental wellness and build the skillset to move forward in health.

Outside of work, Cassia enjoys many creative pursuits including dancing, singing, and painting, and loves to spend time outdoors hiking, skating, and skiing. Cassia loves to spend time with family and friends in the city, finding new places to eat and enjoying live music.
