Gavin is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists, Supporting clients in Calgary, Airdrie, and Virtually. He uses a direct and non-judgmental approach to therapy that incorporates a variety of techniques from different therapeutic modalities.

Gavin has experience helping adults and adolescents navigate various life experiences including healing from trauma and PTSD; processing grief and loss; navigating and thriving with ADHD, OCD, depression, and anxiety; managing stress and burnout; and addressing behavioural concerns. Gavin also has experience working with couples to address various relationship issues, improve communication, and build stronger connection.

Gavin Provides Assessments & Counselling

Gavin has experience providing professional assessments and counselling for individuals and couples in a variety of capacities. Many of his clients are adolescents and adults who are looking to recover and develop resilience to better cope with anxiety, depression, trauma (PTSD), low self esteem, disordered eating, grief, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), work concerns and chronic health issues.

ADHD in Adults

Gavin has the knowledge and experience to provide effective strategies and recommendations to help adults develop useful skills to manage their challenges, nurture their strengths and improve their overall standard of life.


Do you feel angry most of the time? In his sessions, Gavin provides a safe space to understand these feeling and develop strategies to calm yourself down and regain your composure before you feel overwhelmed.


Gavin works individuals who are living with generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety, performance anxiety, and panic attacks. He helps his clients recognize and challenge the unhelpful thoughts and beliefs that perpetuate a sense of fear and doubt.


Gavin is trained to complete psychological assessments including ADHD assessments, psycho-educational assessments, personality assessments, giftedness (IQ) testing, learning disability assessments and mental health assessments.

Couples Counselling

Gavin provides an open space where couples feel safe to discuss their feelings, work on unhealthy patterns of behaviour, and work on ways to improve communication, build trust, spark intimacy and nurture deep bonds.

Depression & Grief

Gavin employs a number of approaches to help you understand, process, and overcome cognitive attitudes triggering feelings of worthlessness, lack of self confidence, apathy, and prolonged sadness.

Life Transitions

We all experience transitions in life that can be challenging and stressful, such as moving to a new place or retiring. Gavin can help individuals manage the changes and learn to cope with the transitions so they can get back to a comfortable place.


Gavin is trained to help individuals living with obsessive thoughts and compulsions. Exposure and response therapy (ERP) helps people gradually begin to face their fears so that they can gain control of their thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

He uses an integrative approach to therapy, pulling interventions and strategies from theories such as Solution Focused, Narrative, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. The therapeutic approach is tailored to the client and their presenting concerns with the goal of exploring issues and creating meaningful change in clients’ lives.
