Katie Tompkins is a Registered Social Worker located in Calgary, Alberta. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Mount Royal University and a Master of Social Work with a clinical specialization from the University of Calgary.
Katie has over 3 years of experience providing support to children, youth, and adults to overcome a variety of challenges including anxiety, depression, trauma, workplace issues, self-esteem, and relationship challenges.
She has worked in a variety of settings (e.g., school system, health centre, group homes) and uses an integrative and client-entered approach. Katie will meet your needs by drawing from variety of empirically supported treatments such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and narrative therapy.
She believes that therapeutic success is largely based on the connection made with the therapist. If you’re struggling and looking for a safe environment to address these concerns, please reach out for a free 15-minute phone consultation to ensure it is a good fit for the both of you.
