Diana Izard is a Registered Social Worker with over 12 years experience in the field of social work and 6 years post-graduate experience with a Master’s of Social Work – Clinical Specialization from the University of Calgary. Diana is passionate about working with people of all ages (3+) and cultural backgrounds.
She supports children, youth, families and individuals with anxiety, stress, developmental disabilities, ASD, eating disorders, relationship problems, separation/divorce, ADHD, behavioural challenges, self-esteem, foster/adoption among other concerns. Diana uses a broad range of approaches to engage young people (and adults!) in her counselling sessions including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Play Therapy, art, mindfulness, storytelling, nature-based healing and other digital media.
With specialized training in play-based treatment of trauma, divorce and attachment-based parenting and has an interest in community advocacy work, Diana’s work experience includes working within education, youth justice and child welfare systems.
