My name is Aziz Razavi and I am a registered provisional psychologist at Grit Psychology. I have 4 years of clinical experience in treating an assortment of psychological challenges. It is challenging to find an effective clinician who is attune to the suffering associated with various psychological concerns, who can connect with you on a personal level. I offer treatment through an evidence-based practice that seeks to maximize the effectiveness of treatment by accounting for unique characteristics and preferences of the person, empirical findings, and clinical expertise. Through a non-judgemental and sincere interaction with people, I offer a compassionate approach to the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, OCD, and many other mental illnesses. In my practice, I recognize that each person is capable of potential and has the ability to reintegrate themselves into a life that they see as worthwhile. Although it can be difficult to find a clinician who does not take a reductionist approach to mental illness, I appreciate that fundamental change requires an alteration in unconscious processes, along with a strong and active treatment plan. In addition to therapeutic services, I provide formal cognitive, psychoeducational, and mental health assessments for diagnostic purposes for both adults and children. I also incorporate general assessment instruments to help track our work together in treatment to ensure that you are satisfied with the work that we do. Together, with your active participation, research findings, and my clinical expertise, we can improve your quality of life.
