Who Can Amanda Help?

In therapy, Amanda prefers to use a client-centered and cognitive behavioural therapy approach that empowers clients to regain autonomy and confidence in their everyday life, when struggling with symptoms of depression, anxiety or trauma. Depending on the needs of the client, Amanda will complete sessions in clinic, the community, or virtually to help attain a client’s goals.

Professional Assessments

Amanda performs a variety of professional assessments including home assessments, wheelchair assessments, and ergonomic assessments.

Mental Health Therapy

Amanda has worked with a variety of clients who have experienced trauma, anxiety, or depression, using exposure therapy and individual skill development to manage their symptoms and return to meaningful activities.

Cognitive Impairment

Amanda provides mental health counselling and effective strategies to help individuals who have experienced mild cognitive impairments, as a result from motor vehicle accidents or different disease processes.

Return to Work

Whether you experienced a work place injury, a traumatic event, or another extended leave from work, it can get challenging to get back to it. Amanda provides a supportive environment to help you feel confident and empowered enough to go back to work.

Sensory & Emotional Dysregulation

If your child displays frequent irritability, temper tantrums, unprompted outbursts, and difficulty self-soothing, they may have difficulty regulating. Amanda works with parents and children to develop strategies to help the child better regulate.

More About Amanda

Amanda has been living in Central Alberta for the past 6 years, and has enjoyed being in smaller communities, as it reminds her of her hometown in Manitoba. Central Alberta has been a great place for her and her husband to raise their young family and explore the outdoors. In their free time, they return to Manitoba for family visits or head to Vancouver Island to relax and unwind.
